Psychrometric Process

The change of state of moist air is called a psychrometric process. Such a

process may involve one or combination of the following process.
 Cooling
 Heating
 Dehumidifying
 Humidifying

 Summer Air Conditioning- involves of cooling and dehumidifying

 Winter Air conditioning- involves heating and humidifying.

 The inlet condition of air through a washer is 40%RH
and 40 degree C. Out let condition of air is 80% RH

Heating or cooling of air without addition or
subtraction of moisture is termed as sensible heating or
cooling.
Or
Heating or cooling with out phase change .

Bypass factor represents the fraction of uncontacted air

in terms of the states 1, 2, 3.
