OPERCOM

Oil & Gas Commissioning

OPERCOM is a test methodology developed by TOTAL and tailored to Oil & Gas
production and treatment installations, which has been proving its worth for more than
the twenty years now.

commissioning & shutdown
activities using ICAPS &
OPERCOM activities.

The OPERCOM methodology is issued by the dedicated teams responsible for


preparation during the Engineering Phase and for execution at the end of the
project.
The Main Objectives of OPERCOM
Safety:
To conduct the pre-commissioning and commissioning
activities in a safe and secure manner with all necessary
precautions identified and put in place.

Planning:
To ensure that pre-commissioning and commissioning activities
are planned well in advance and are fully integrated with the
Project Construction planning.
The Main Objectives of OPERCOM
Confidence:
To execute completion activities in such a manner that the plant
can be handed over to the operators in full confidence

Efficiency
To improve the overall efficiency of a project by adopting a “
system/subsystem” approach and by improving logistics
through forward planning of manpower and materials
requirement :

Consistency & Economy:


To ensure that all contractors and sub-contractors and vendors
Provide completion documentation that conforms to a
standard and is presented in a consistent format. Economical
viable to improve the overall economy of the project by
bringing the plant on line in the shortest possible time.
