Institute

Wardley Bldg. 1991 3rd Flr. Unit 3-A San Juan St.
Brgy. 36, 1300 Pasay City, Philippines
This institution was conceived primarily to support the
government’s vision of assisting the underprivileged
members of the society, not giving them dole outs but
empower them through education and training.
Believing that education will pave the way for a
brighter future of those who have less in life,
TECHTRADE Training and Assessment Center Inc.
was established to run TESDA approved programs. It
joined the bandwagon of centers searching far and
wide for individuals who will benefit from this
government program. It went the extra miles, by
partnering with service companies who agreed to
employ the graduates in some programs. Quite a feat,
indeed.
The force behind TECHTRADE has CIP (Continuous
Improvement Program) mentality. It does not stop and
sit on its laurels. As the years progressed, it keeps
improving not only on its physical facilities but so
much more in partnering with high caliber educators in
various fields of the academe that venturing into a
wider scope of providing education and training is
unstoppable. In order to untie the limitations of “only a
training center”, a change in the profile of the
organization was inevitable. It started with the change
of the company’s name from TECHTRADE Training
and Assessment Center Inc. to SMI Institute Inc.
This opened the floodgates of
opportunities to venture into the bigger
scope of training for the academe
which includes among others; the
catering to the growing needs of the
institutions partnering with DepEd
recognized high schools in the
implementation of the K12 senior high
school through the joint voucher
program. One thing led to another, and
we cannot resist the clamor for the
establishment of review center to
prepare our growing clientele in their
professional board examinations. While
maintaining to provide the services by
which it was originally conceived,
TECHTRADE, now to be known as
SMI Institute, has taken off to be a
force to reckon with in the higher levels
of the academe.
