BSEd-General Science
Physical Science= an area of science that deals with materials
that are not alive and the ways in which non-living things work.

BRANCHES OF PHYSICAL SCIENCE

1. CHEMISTRY = = a branch of physical science that deals with the structure, composition, properties and
reaction of a substance that they undergo.

2. PHYSICS == a branch of physical science that deals with matter and energy and the interaction between
them.

3.) ASTRONOMY = a branch of physical science that study about the origin of the universe and beyond
the earth.
CHEMISTRY= a science that deals with
the sturucture, composition, properties and
reaction of a substance that they undergo.
BRANCHES OF CHEMISTRY
ANALYTICAL CHEMISTRY= it concerned with th identification, separation
and quantitative determination of the composition of different substances.
Example: Color and Taste of any substances

PHYSICAL CHEMISTRY= study of the structure of matter, energy changes and the laws
that govern the transformation of matter.
Example; Tearing of paper, boiling of water etc.
ORGANIC CHEMISTRY=it deals with reaction of the compound of
carbon.
Example: Lipids= substances that contains Fats.
Protiens= substance which important in diet.
Carbohydrates= substance support in healthy body.

INORGANIC CHEMISTRY=a study of substance other than carbon and its

compound.
Example: water, salt, base, and acid.

BIOCHEMISTRY= it is specialized in the chemistry subject that

comprising living organism.
Example: Fruits and Vegetable.
