Tips in Sketching Lines
• Keep your eye on the direction of the line instead of on the pencil
point. Sketch the line, correct the direction, and finally, pencil in the
correct line weight.
• Horizontal lines are drawn from left to right, while vertical lines are
drawn from top to bottom.
• An oblique line, which is referred to as a “slanting “ line, is sketched
like thw way a vertical line is done.
Here are three things to remember when
sketching a line
• Always keep a piece of paper under the drawing sheet.
• Move your arm not your wrisk to keep a consistent line weight.
• Practice drawing lines between two dots, then with long lines.
