Serinsim Substation is a nature park at Kota Marudu,

located about 15km away from town on the back route
(Marak-Parak Highway) to Ranau.
Logistic planning:

• Apply for administrative approval and parental and file requisition for
transportation such as bus.
• Inform parents about the trips.
• Create a list of student names and home phone number for
emergency.
• Make arrangement for meals and develop schedule for the day.
Field trip discussion:

Discuss the purpose of visiting Serinsim river with the children. The
children can observe the nature and the environment.

Necessary things such as lunch plans and extra clothes.

Activities:
1. Get wet! 2. Art and craft

- Children can play - Children can find

water with the their own stones and
suitable clothes. paint it with their own
creativity.
Follow up activity:
Post field trip:
1. Children will share their own experience at the field trip.
2. Children can make a thank you notes to the Serinsim river owner.

Evaluating field trip:

1. Share the evaluation with the students, volunteers, hosts from the
field trip site, and school administrators.
2. Submit a report on field trip at Serinsim river.
