SNGIST ROLL NO : 8 Cyclone Resistant Building Construction 1 Introduction • It is the construction of a residential building whether it is a building made from concrete, wood or other materials which is protected by a strong cyclone resistant coating. • This type of building protection is required by local and federal government and it is mandated by most local and state codes. • The reason for the requirement is the fear of damaging or destroying homes, businesses and other property and the concern for our environment. • Cyclone Resistant Building Construction take a long time to build. • Cyclone resistant construction generally aren’t as inexpensive as standard construction. • The challenges that a construction team has to overcome in this type of construction may make this cost somewhat higher.

2 Abstract • The aim of this study is to investigate the present housing condition to develop and establish a comprehensive, safe and economical design concept, so that people under poverty can build structurally robust house to resist high speed wind within their affordable limit. • As you can see cyclone resistance can be incorporated into concrete building structures or into the more traditional wood framing design. • In the case of concrete construction, this can be incorporated during the pour of the slab. • If the concrete is poured before the ground settles, it becomes very impervious to tremors. • This means that after the concrete is poured and allowed to dry completely it becomes impervious to all soil pressures.
