The Gap
Analysis
Getting started in Writing Educational Research

GAP ANALYSIS
 An examination and assessment of your current performance
for the purpose of identifying differences between your current
state of business and where you’d like to be.
 It answers questions like: “Where are we now?”, Where would
we like to be?”, How do we get there?”.

What is a gap analysis template in school community?

 A gap analysis template visualizes the difference between reality and
target for your school or district, making it easy to show employees/clients
where there is still room to grow.

 It is a great way to visual your data and show where your school
community/organization is struggling and thriving.
How To Conduct A Gap Analysis: 4 Steps To Completion

•Step #1: Identify the current state of your school or

classroom.
•Step #2: Identify where you want to be with your classroom/
school/district.
•Step #3: Identify the gaps in your department or the performance
•Step #4: Devise improvement to close the gaps
