SITE WORK OF
PROJECT
1. POURING OF
CONCRETE

 Every concrete placement is unique. Every customer has different

needs, and each property’s location requires its own planning. But
we still follow the same general procedures each time we handle a
concrete installation whether it’s a residential or commercial concrete
project.
We may be able to pull our ready mix concrete truck up to the site
and pour directly into the forms. If this is not possible, we use our
concrete pump to get the concrete exactly where it needs to go. Our
crew will smooth and move the concrete as it is being poured to
prevent air pockets and ensure an even surface.

Height of pouring the concrete should not be more.

2. POINTS MEASURE TO MARK THE COLUMN
AREA

To mark the column in a straight way in horizontal and vertical way
both.

Points are marked with the help of surveying instrument which is

known as total station.

Three points are measured and marked with the help of total station.

The fourth point is measured after with the help of those three points.
3. CLEANING OF SITE

Site cleanliness is a key ingredient when it comes to work efficiency and

safety.

Keeping your work area clean is imperative and if it is not done properly
it can create serious health and safety risks which will cost the whole work
team time and money.

Cleaning of the site and iron rods, bars and several construction
equipments are placed at suitable places.

It is necessary to keep the site clean so as our health and labourers health
remains healthy.
4. CURING

Curing plays an important role on strength development and

durability of concrete. Curing takes place immediately after concrete
placing and finishing, and involves maintenance of desired moisture
and temperature conditions, both at depth and near the surface, for
extended periods of time.

Curing of the concrete which is filled a day before and before 4 to 5

days.

Curing is done till 8 to 9 days regularly and twice in a day.

5. WORK DONE RELATED TO
SAFETY

Safety nets are classified as a passive fall protection system which can be
installed as either a barrier to prevent a fall, or beneath the work to catch
a falling worker. Safety nets are designed to decrease the fall distance, to
absorb the energy of a fall, and to reduce the likelihood or seriousness of
an injury.

Safety nets are tied around the building on the upper floor so as if
anyone fall from the height during work he/she does not get fall on floor
and doesn’t get hurt .

Site helmets are distributed to each and every people working or

supervising the site.
6. FORMWORK FITTING AND
TIEING

Formwork used in the construction industry must be designed,

fabricated, erected, supported, braced, and maintained so that it can
support all vertical and horizontal loads that will be exerted.
The form structure must be maintained within all design tolerances
specified for plumbness during the jacking operation.
The predetermined safe rate of lift must not be exceeded.
All vertical slip forms must be provided with scaffolds or work
platforms where employees must work or pass.
Reinforcing steel for walls, piers, columns, and similar vertical structures
must be adequately supported to prevent overturning and collapse.
Employers must take measures to prevent unrolled wire mesh from
recoiling. These measures may include, but are not limited to, securing
each end of the roll or turning over the role.
7. PRE-CAST LINTELS

In residential and commercial buildings of concrete masonry, precast

lintels are often used to span openings in the walls. These horizontal
members function as beams in supporting the weight of the wall, as well
as other dead and live loads over the openings, and transmitting these
loads to the adjacent masonry.

The use of pre-cast lintels is a cost and time saving alternative in

construction.
8. FORMWORK FITTING ON THE FIRST
FLOOR

Formwork on the first floor is being fitted and tied up during the whole
day by putting the reinforcement bars and electrical aplliances inside the
formwork.
9. LEVELLING DONE OF THE
FORMWORK

Levelling of the formwork is done during the fitting of the formwork so

as our surface does not get any slopes and bumps after pouring the
concrete.

Levelling is done with the help of the level pipe and a rod for the
support.
10. LEARN AND OBSERVE THE WORKING OF THE
TRANSIT MIXER

Transit mix put the concrete into the concrete pumping machine and
then the concrete pumping machine pump the concrete through the pipe
to the place where it has to be placed.
CONCLUSION

As a student of SILVER OAK UNIVERSITY

and technology I would like to say that this
internship program is an excellent opportunity
for us to get the total knowledge of the site
work. I am grateful to my college and ARJUN
GROUP for giving me this wonderful
opportunity.

The main objective of this internship is to

provide an opportunity to undergraduates to
observe and identify and practice how
engineering is applicable in real industry. I
learnt the way of work in the company the
importance of being punctual and the
importance of team spirit. In my opinion I have
gained lots of knowledge and experience
needed to be successful in this field,as in my
opinion engineering is after all challenge.
