• The main objective of this training is to get exposed to actual working environment and enhance our knowledge and skill from what we have learned in the college.
• An opportunity to test our interest in a particular career before permanent
commitments are made.
• To develop skills in the application of theory to practical work situations.
CONSTRUCTION COMPANY DETAILS SRISANTOSH BUILDERS FOUNDER:MR D.RAVICHANDRAN OFFICE ADDRESS: OIL MILL, TIRUVALLUR. WORKS UNDERTAKEN : RESEDENTIAL BUILDING. IMPLANT TRAINING DETAILS
DURATION OF TRAINING : 2 WEEKS
SITELOCATION : NO 56/A, NETAJI STREET,
PERUMBAKKAM,TIRUVALLUR,602001 • The construction of the residential building was the proposed project. BRICK MASONRY: Brick masonry is a highly durable form of construction. It is built by placing bricks in mortar in a systematic manner to construct solid mass that withstand exerted loads. There are several types of bricks and number of mortars which can be used to construct brick masonry. BRICK BAT LAYING BRICKS RAISING WALL LINTEL A lintel is a structural horizontal support used to span an opening in a wall or between two vertical supports. It is frequently used over windows and doors, both of which represent vulnerable points in a building's structure. Lintels are generally used for load-bearing purposes, but they can also be decorative. LINTEL PREPARATION Material used: UltratechPPC Cement . M-sand , River sand. ARS,High steel Fe550D. 20 & 12mm coarse aggregates. Bricks. CONCRETE POURING: Pour wet concrete into the forms until they are full to the top edge. While the wet concrete is being poured, use shovels, rakes and "come alongs" (special concrete rake) to move the concrete to make sure there are no voids or air pockets. Read more about placing concrete. PLASTERING Plaster is a thin layer of mortar applied over the masonry surface and it acts as a damp-proof coat over the brick masonry work. Plastering also provides a finished surface over the masonry that is firm and smooth hence it enhances the appearance of the building. The primary objectives of plastering are to protect the surface from atmospheric influences, to cover the defective workmanship in masonry, to conceal porous materials, and to provide a suitable surface for painting CONCRETE MIXING: The mixing procedure includes the type of mixer, the order of introduction of the materials into the mixer, and the energy of mixing (duration and power). To control the workability or rheology of the fresh concrete, for example, it is important to control how the concrete is processed during manufacture. CURING: Curing of concrete is defined as providing adequate moisture, temperature, and time to allow the concrete to achieve the desired properties for its intended use. When these recommendations are properly specified and performed in the field, the final properties of the concrete mixture will be achieved. Training Outcomes • Each day in our training was informative and useful for us.
• Gained Knowledge about construction of building
• To visually see the construction and their process of
accomplishment. CONCLUSION: During these two weeks of our industrial training we were able to gain practical knowledge and skills, which are used in construction sites. Definitely it will be helpful for the future jobs. The project that is the proposed residential building of three floors. Every day in our training was useful and informative. We learnt all the methods and regulations that must be followed in the construction site. I would like to thank all the staffs who helped me in this training to acquire some knowledge by teaching some technical terms, calculations, the purpose of each and every steps done in this training. The overall experience is an informative learning and we students need these types of learning to have conceptual clarification. CERTIFICATE THANK YOU
