Thermal Paper Rolls

1. During the testing of the thermal


rolls, it was noticed that the end of
paper roll is sticking to the cork.

affect the printer and might damaged

thermal paper should be replaced

Instructions When to Replace the Thermal
Rolls
To remedy the situation, the following instruction should be adopted on when to replace the thermal roll based on
the number of prints:

The 1st Thermal Roll shall be used in printing the following during the
Final Testing and Sealing (FTS):

To remedy the situation, the following instruction should be adopted on when to replace the thermal roll based on
the number of prints:

Replace the thermal roll and continue printing the following during FTS:
1. Local Returns-5th to 8th copy
2. Statistical Report
3. Re-zero Report
2nd Thermal Roll
Continue printing the following reports on Election Day:
4. Initialization Report
5. Status report after pressing the “Go to Voting” button
Instructions When to Replace the Thermal
Rolls
To remedy the situation, the following instruction should be adopted on when to replace the thermal roll based on
the number of prints:

Replace the thermal roll before printing the VVPAT. Each thermal roll can
print 70 VVPATs as follows:
3rd to succeeding Thermal
Rolls 3rd Thermal Roll – 01 - 70 VVPATs
4th Thermal Roll – 71 - 140 VVPATs
(Depending on the number of 5th Thermal Roll – 141 - 210 VVPATs

● Check printer compartment every 70 votes to validate if new thermal paper roll is
needed
● To find out total number of votes registered in the VCM, check the ballots cast
counter located at the top panel of the Main Screen.

2 Thermal Rolls Each thermal roll can print 15 copies of ERs for national positions.

 Replace the thermal roll before printing the ERs for local positions.
 The 1st thermal roll shall print 15 copies of ERs for local positions

 The 2nd thermal roll shall print the remaining 15 copies of the ERs,
transmission report and statistical report.

Alphabetization of voter last names with character “Ñ” is handled
differently in the EDCVL and PCVL.
