LO - Students will read the story and enhance their reading skills.
Period 1 –Students will read the story - लकड़हारा और उसकी कु ल्हाड़ी carefully with the
teacher’s help.
LO – to recapitulate different matra ke shabd
Period 2 – Students to write the words having matras – आ, इ, ई, उ and ऊ and write in
their notebooks after sorting them.
Closure – Notebook work
LO – to recapitulate different matra ke shabd
Period 3 – Students to write the words having matras – ए, ऐ, ओ and औ and write in their
notebooks after sorting them.

LO - Identifying different matra k shabd
Period 4 - Teacher will explain the students about the activity. After that the cut outs
for the same can be given and pasted in notebooks.
PERIOD 1
ईमानदार लकड़हारा

एक लकड़हारा था। वह कड़ी मेहनत से लकड़ी काटकर बेचता था और

उससे पैसे कमाता था। लकड़ी बेचकर मिले पैसों से वह अपने परिवार का
पेट भरता था।
एक दिन वह एक पेड़ काट रहा था, तभी उसकी कु ल्हाड़ी गलती से नदी में
गिर गई। वह नदी बहुत गहरी थी और तेज़ी से भी बह रही थी। अपनी
कु ल्हाड़ी को नदी में गिरा देख वह बहुत रोने लगा।
जब वह रो रहा था, तब नदी से एक सुंदर परी बाहर आई और उस लकड़हारे से रोने
का कारण पूछने लगी। लकड़हारे ने रोते हुए बोला, “मेरी कु ल्हाड़ी नदी में गिर गई है;
अब मैं अपने परिवार का पेट कै से भरूँ गा? उसकी कहानी सुनकर परी नदी में गायब
हो गई और एक सोने की कु ल्हाड़ी के साथ निकली। परी ने लकड़हारे से पूछा, “यह
कु ल्हाड़ी मुझे नदी में मिली है। क्या यह तुम्हारी है?” “यह मेरी नहीं है।” लकड़हारे ने
जवाब दिया। परी फिर एक चाँदी की कु ल्हाड़ी लेकर आई और लकड़हारे ने फिर से
मना कर दिया।
अंत में परी ने नदी से लोहे की कु ल्हाड़ी निकाली
और उससे पूछा, “क्या यह तुम्हारी कु ल्हाड़ी है?”
लकड़हारे ने मुस्कराते हुए कहा, “यही मेरी कु ल्हाड़ी
है।” लकड़हारे ने खुश होकर परी का धन्यवाद
किया।
परी लकड़हारे की ईमानदारी से खुश हुई और तीनों
कु ल्हाड़ी उसे इनाम के रूप में देकर वहाँ से गायब
हो गई।
