 Experience
• High Performance Learning has been quite a unique aspect of our studies I must say. It had
been introduced in 2019 when I was in year 10 as far as I remember. It has helped me link
various sources of information of UAE to my studies, and what I have understood is that
this helps us link our studies with the practical world in helping us understand this world at
a better perspective and apprehend the purpose of taking in all this knowledge from our
schools.

• As HPL has been moving on for quite a while, my confidence with linking and being able
to understand at a broader perspective has nourished as well as my communication skills
and collaboration.
High Performance Learning In Subjects
 Mathematics (Mechanics)
High Performance Learning in Math had included the use of our skills
of calculations and using those to be able to apply it in our researches.
We have used from the ACPS –

• Metathinking – Meta cognition, and self regulation

• Linking – Imagination
• Analyzing – Precision, and complex and multi-step problem solving
• Realising – Speed and accuracy
 Chemistry
Our teacher makes sure to include HPL in her presentations as she
teaches. She always links the information with the VAAs and ACPs
which is included in the presentations or the worksheets provided to
solve.

• Meta Thinking – Self regulation

• Linking – Connection finding and seeing alternate perspectives
 Physics
• During practical, we apply Strategy planning and collaborative thinking to be
able to finish with the work with mutual understanding.
Year 10 RBL
• HPL in this case helps us link physics practical to the mechanism of the real
world which provides us with a better understanding.
• In a competition I participated this month, we were able to apply meta thinking
and hardworking for the project.

We used Meta thinking and values of being empathetic and hardworking towards
our project
Information Technology
We have used HPL in IT in one place or another. For
example the practical we solve in the class, it helps
us in figuring out how further we can implement and
assess our skills in solving different problems and
questions.
