DEFINITION OF SPORTS-

Sports uses the following criteria, determining that a sport should:


• Have an element of competition.
• Not rely on any luck element specifically designed into the sport.
• An activity involving physical exertion and skill in which an individual or team compete
another or others for entertainment .
• EXAMPLES OF SOME SPORTS ARE – Cricket , Basketball , Football , Chess and many
others

India at Major International Sports Events .

• Olympics –
India first participated in the Olympics games in 1900 , with alone athlete common
( Norman Pritchard winning two medals both silver in athletics). India won 7 medals in Tokyo
Olympics 2021. Neeraj Chopra won an athletics Gold medal in Tokyo Olympics 2020.

Different Kinds Of Games-

INDOOR GAMES :
The games which are played inside the room are called indoor games .
Examples: Chess , Snooker , Table Tennis , Carrom etc .

OUTDOOR GAMES:
The games which are played outside the room are called outdoor games .
Examples: Cricket , Football , Baseball , Badiminton etc.
