What was the Victorian era known for?

The period saw the British Empire grow to become the first global
industrial power, producing much of the world's coal, iron, steel and
textiles. The Victorian era saw revolutionary breakthroughs in the
arts and sciences, which shaped the world as we know it today.

She was born in Italy on 1820 . She served as pioneering nurse in the Crimean
Florence Nightingale OM RRC DStJ was an English social reformer, statistician
and the founder of modern nursing. Nightingale came to prominence while serving
as a manager and trainer of nurses during the Crimean War, in which she organised
care for wounded soldiers at Constantinople war and helped to raise standards of
hospitals

tomorrow. It was known as the very soup to have built the
British Empire

What did Victorian dresses look like?

Skirts widened as the hourglass silhouette became the popular look,


and women took to wearing layers of petticoats. Bodices took on a V
shape and the shoulder dropped more. Evening wear exposed the
shoulders and neckline, and corsets lost their shoulder straps. Sleeves
of ball gowns were usually short
What were Victorian dresses made of?

Fibers used were all natural ones such as cotton, wool and silk.
Making the very tight bodices and sleeves of women's dresses
required far more skill than the straight-seamed skirt.
