REMOVING AND MOVING

OBJECTS IN

Mdrayray
SOMETIMES…
We have a really great pic with unnecessary We want to keep good photos but take out
things around which makes the photo look things that are no good anymore. #hugot
really bad.
HERE’S HOW
Method 1: CC and CS6

Open the image/photo

Select the object you want to remove

Using the LASSO TOOL or the QUICK SELECTION


TOOL, select the object

Once it’s fully selected, you can:


click EDIT in the MENU BAR, hit FILL or
Click DEL in your keyboard
Hit CONTENT AWARE then OK
HERE’S HOW

Method 2:

Click the PATCH TOOL in your TOOLS


BAR.

This is good for patching up small objects that


can be taken out in a flash

Method 3:

Click the CLONE STAMP TOOL


This is done in lower versions of Photoshop.
It may take longer because you have to click
in the background color often to clone the
desired pixels.
MOVING OBJECTS IN A PHOTO

HERE’S HOW
• Method 1 (shorter and easier)

• Open a photo and SELECT (lasso, quick, etc) the object


you want to move.

• After fully and carefully selecting, hit the CONTENT


AWARE MOVE TOOL (under the spot healing brush
tool).
• Move the object to the preferred area. You will see that
the pixels will combine with the background.
• You can also click (in the control Panel) ADAPTATION
(gear icon)
• Select color: change number to 7 or any that can blend
the background in.
HERE’S HOW
• Method 2 (longer and tedious)

• Open the image and double click the background layer to change it
to layer 0.
• SELECT the object you want to move by using any tool (lasso,
polygonal, quick etc)
• Hit control x and place the object in the desired area.
• Create another layer then Click control v to paste to that layer.
• Open layer 0 then erase sides and edges that you don’t want using
your eraser tool.
• A white blank will still be seen on this layer so select that area with
your tool. Once you are done, click EDIT then FILL, hit • Watch additional resource video on moving objects:

• Take out unnecessary discoloration with the SMUDGE or PATCH

• Select both layers and hit control E to merge the two layers.
