Definitions

• Cluster – a group of cells which will be later on combined with one signal group
(supercell)
• Supercell – a group of cells sharing the same radio resources
• Load – percentage utilization of DL resources in a cell modelled in Winprop as
a mean Tx power in downlink (relative to max. power)
• N – number of cells in a cluster/supercell

Scenarios 1/2
• Scenario 1:
• All cells: individual signal
• Load in all cells (mean tx pwr in dl) 100% Group 3

• Scenario 2:
• All cells: individual signal – interferences Group 1
occur between cells in the same group
• Load in cells belonging to groups
• Group 1: 50% per cell
• Group 2: 20% per cell
• Group 3: 33% per cell
• Scenario 3:
• Signal aggregation – cells belonging to supercells have the same
signal group (A,B,C) and do not interfere with each other
• Load in supercells:
• Group 1: 50% per cell
• Group 2: 20% per cell
• Group 3: 33% per cell
Group 2
• Scenario 4
• Signal aggregation – cells belonging to groups have the same
signal group (A,B,C) and do not interfere with each other
• Load in all cells (mean tx pwr in dl) 100%

RE supercell

• Initially – caused interference was equal to cell loads. It was set by single
parameter
• Pesimistic approach  in case of FDPS
• Proposal:
• Multiple estimations with modelled 10% pilot interference (straight forward best server
analysis?)
• Alternatively – Winprop enables best server calculation (cell areas) based on SINR. Do
we need to recalculate it again with 10% pilot impact ?
