SENTENCE

INTRODUCTION OF GRAMMAR
WHAT IS A SENTENCE?

- A group of words which make


complete sense and expresses out
thought is a sentence.
WHAT IS A SENTENCE?

-when we speak to someone we


speak in complete sentences.
WHAT IS A SENTENCE?

-while writing a sentence we begin


it with a capital letter and end with
a full stop.
EXAMPLE

1. The bird is a beautiful bird.


2. Sanya is good at writing.

TYPE OF SENTENCE

1. Statement
 When a sentence tells us something it is
called a statement.
 A statement always ends with a full stop(.)
EXAMPLE

1. Tonny goes to the beach every

2. The girl is reading a book.

II. Questions
 When a sentence asks something, it is
called a question.
 A statement always ends with a question
mark (?)
EXAMPLE

1. Which do you go to?


2. Are we going to have recess?

a. Command Sentence
 Command sentence gives a command or tells us to
do something.
Example:
