RATIONALE
Multimedia education is now gaining grounds in the classroom that bridges learner's
in learning mathematics. Utilizing multimedia technology allows learners to learn real-
world skills related to technology including value of teamwork, and effective
collaboration. This emphasizes that multimedia bears in interactivity and discovery
among the students. it allow the learners to explore more explanations and information
about their lesson on their own due to the interactivity the multimedia offers. The
practice of technology in teaching mathematics can transform a classroom from a boring
place to an exciting learning environment.

In connection with this, the researchers gained interest to conduct this study which aims
to determine the learners perception if multimedia technology is being utilized.
LITERATURE BACKGROUND

MAIN PROBLEM
The study aims to determine the
learners' perception and academic
performance in Mathematics with the
aid of multimedia technology of
Grade Six learners of Tagbilaran City
Central of the School Year 2023-
2024.
STATEMENT OF PROBLEM Specifically, this study aims to answer the following
questions;

1. What is the learners' perception on utilizing

multimedia technology in mathematics?
2. What is the learners' academic performance in
Mathematics?
3. Is there a significant relationship between the
level of perception on the utilization of
multimedia technology and learners' academic
performance in Mathematics?
4. What action plan can be prepared based on the
result of the study?
SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY
The researchers believe that this study will benefit the following:

• School administrators
• Teachers
• Learners
• Future researchers
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

DESIGN

The study will employ correlational research design

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

Environment
The study will be conducted in Tagbilaran City Central Elementary
School at 74 M. Torralba Street, Tagbilaran City, Bohol, Philippines.
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

Participants
The participants of the study are the Grade Six learners' of Tagbilaran
City Central Elementary School through purposive sampling.
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

Instruments

The researchers will provide a survey questionnaire that is in checklist

form which will consist of 15 questions.
PROCEDURE Phase II. Preparation and Validation of Survey
Questionnaire
The researchers adapted a questionnaire from the
study of Duya (2020) entitled " Multimedia
Utilization in Teaching-Learning Process" and
Phase I. Asking Permission modified it before distributing to the target group
The researchers will ask permission from of respondents.
the Campus Director and the Dean of the
College of Teacher Education to conduct
the study. The letter contains the purpose Phase III. Administration of the Printed Test
and the flow in conducting the study Questionnaire
following the health protocols. After the validation of the questionnaires and the
approval to conduct the study, the researchers will
distribute the printed survey questionnaire to the
participants.
STATISTICAL TREATMENT
• To determine the learners' perception towards the utilization of
multimedia technology in Mathematics, the weighted mean formula is
used.

• To determine the significant relationship between the students' academic

performance in Mathematics and the utilization of multimedia
technology Spearman's Rank Coefficient will be used.
