GUESS WHAT!
Can you guess what is the shape that you see from this Can we guess the surface area and
photo? the volume for this building ?

Pyramid is one of the three-

dimensional geometrical shapes
that exist around us. Look around
and guess what are other
geometrical shapes that you have
found for this day?
6.1 Geometric Properties of Three-Dimensional Shapes

6.1.1 Three-dimensional shapes

1. PRISM
 Two flat bases that are polygons which are
congruent and parallel.
Two flat
 Flat rectangular shaped side. bases which
are parallel
 Uniform cross section and
congruent
(same size
and shape)
2. PYRAMID
 One flat base that is polygon shaped.
 The other sides are triangular shaped that
meet at the apex.

3. CYLINDER

 Two circular bases which congruent and parallel.

 One curved surface.

4. CONE 5. SPHERE
 One circular base  All points on the surface are eduidistant
from the centre of the sphere. (Semua titik
 One apex
pada permukaan sfera mempunyai satu titik
 One curved surface that berjarak sama dari pusat sfera)
merges the base and the apex.
