People have basic needs like food, water, shelter, and air to survive. All of these come from the Earth’s natural resources. Resources on Earth are very important to people and to other living things. These are important for our survival while others are used to satisfy their wants.
Importance of Natural Resources
1. Air is needed for life to exist. It is important in the survival of all living things. 2. Water is vital for life. It is used for drinking, cooking, and cleaning. What are other uses of water?
3. Plant resources provide resources provide food for almost all
living things on Earth. Fruits and vegetables come from plants that are essential to our health. 4. Soil is also important Earth resource. It is used in agriculture. It is where plants and trees grow. Some animals also live and survive in soil. It serve as their home.
5. Minerals are used to make metals. Metals are used in making
cooking wares, cars, jewelry, coins, and many more. Taking Care of the Earth’s Natural Resources Taking care of the Earth is not easy. But, there is something you can do to save Earth. This can lessen the destructions and its impact on the planet Earth. You are part of the surroundings or the environment. 1. Plant a tree and other plants.
2. Do the 3 R’s Reduce the amount of trash you throw away; Reuse materials instead of throwing them away; and Recycle reusable materials into new products. 3. Conserve energy.
