I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson the pupils will be able to:
A. Identify the three phases of matter
B. Give examples of solids, liquids and gases
C. Apply the knowledge about phases of matter in their group activity
D. Follow properly the safety rules in the activity

B. Motivation
- Ask the students what do you see inside the classroom
- The teacher will show the pictures
- The teacher present a song entitled (The three states of matter)
C. Lesson Proper
1.) Activity
The teacher will show to the pupils three real objects
2.) Analysis
The students will be asked question about the activity they did.
1.) What do you call of this object?
2.) What is the shape of wallet?
3.) Can you touch it?
4.) What can you say about the water in the bottle? Do the water and the
bottle have the same shape?
5.) What can you say about the balloon? What is inside the balloon?
3. Abstraction
A. What is the matter? - it is anything that occupies space & has weight
/mass
B. Give the different kinds of state of matter? - Solid
- Liquid
- Gas
4. Application
The students will group into three and they will give 5 minutes to give the
example of solids, liquids, gas. Present it to the class.
