SHEIN Child Labour

TREATMENT BY LOUISA REID


Synopsis
Following the production line of how
Shein clothes are made and following the
workers day-to-day lives. Finding out the
truth about child labor in less fortunate
countries. Making our way from the
beginning of the production line all the
way to the customers wardrobe,
interviewing everyone that is involved.
History
My documentary is set in the present, after
Covid-19 increased online shopping. This is
important as people were locked in their homes
so couldn’t go out to shop, instead converted to
online shopping. We will look into the materials
of the products and find out where they come
from as well and see why Shein choose these
materials over others.

Filmmaking Approach
I will be the main presenter, interviewing
people and following the production line.
I will do voice overs as well as talking to
the camera directly. Include interviews of
the workers with me asking them
questions.
