SCIENCE LABORATORY:

COMMON SCIENCE TOOLS AND THEIR USES:

1. Thermometer-measures the coldness and


hotness of the objects.
2. Test Tube-holds small amount of liquid and is
used for observation.
3. Beaker-measures the amount of liquid; used
also for heating.
4. Graduated Cylinder-measures the amount of
liquid.
COMMON SCIENCE TOOLS AND THEIR USES:

5. Wire Gauze-spreads the heat of the burner and


prevents breaking of the objects being heated.
6. Mortar and Pestle-used to grind chemicals into
finer texture; used also for mixing.
7. Funnel-transfers liquids from one container to
another.
8. Alcohol Lamp-heats or boils liquid under study.
9. Test Tube Rack-holds test tube to avoid
breaking.
