Synopsis
According to Petrick and ibrahim (2022) Brake fluid is very
important to the brake system and to the safety of
motorcyclist. However, brake system absorb water from the
air which means moisture can easily find its way to brake
fluid that may affect the function of brake fluid and
eventually leads to failure of brake system. To address this
concern and for the safety of motorcyclist, sensors are much
applicable to see the conditions of brake fluid than using the
traditional way.
Introduction
According to Ang, (2019) Motorcycles are one of the
most convenient modes of transportation. However,
motorcyclists are exposed to a higher risk of
crashing, contributing to road accidents. While,
accidents can happen anywhere, and to lessen the
accidents, many technologies have been developed,
including crash sensors and collision detection
systems (Yousif, 2019).
Introduction
Deo, et al. (2021) stated, The use of multiple sensors that are
specifically calibrated to perceive the environment in the modern
technology is seen as essential to boost road safety. On the other
hand, the road accidents cost people and society $518 billion
USD, and resulted in 1.35 million fatalities and 20 to 50 million
non-fatal injuries annually, asstated by Murshed & Chowdhury,
(2019). Furthermore, given that more than 1.2 million people are
killed in traffic accidents annually, transportation safety is crucial.
Braking or steering is required to avoid collisions, developing
driving abilities and situation awareness are required to carry out
evasion without increasing risk. (Huang, et al., 2021)
Statement of the Problem
o Is there a significant difference between the
brake sensor and the basic brake sensor in terms
of its reaction time and capabilities when used
on a motorcycle?
oIs there a significant effect of an brake sensor
on reducing the number of accidents on the
road?
Hypothesis
• There is no significant effect between the
brake sensor and the basic brake sensor in terms
of its reaction time and capabilities when used
on a motorcycle.
• There is no significant effect of an brake sensor
on reducing the number of accidents on the road.
Significance of the Study
This study offers an brake sensor for detecting
brake failure on motorcycles, it is crucial as it
address problems with motorcycle accidents
caused by brake failure. This will also be
significant help to motorcyclist, students and to
future researchers with relevance to the study.
Scope and Delimitation
The study will focus on determining how convenient
the device sensor is, its capability to reduce accidents
on the road, and its reaction time to alert the
motorcyclist. the device will be also made to alert or
alert the driver about its brake. The researcher will test
the device sensor in a single motorcycle. Note that the
device is detachable and can only be used in a single
motor or in a tricycle. The study will be conducted in
Zaragoza, Nueva Ecija.

Gathering of materials
The twelve (12) volt light bulb, electrical wire, any twelve (12) volt sensor,
electric tape, scissors/knife, screwdriver/wrench, rivet, and twelve (12) volt fuse
are the materials needed.

Adjustments of the device
The researchers will do a dry run to find the compatible sensor and to see what
should adjust in the device
The table 1 shows two devices with the labels device 1 and device 2 for a comparison of the brake
sensor device and the basic brake sensor in terms of the capabilities.
