ORGANIZATIONAL BACKGROUND
ORGANIZATION CHART

 In 1807, the first police force was established in Penang. This force is the
basis for the establishment of the Royal Malaysian Police force that exists
today. The first police chief appointed was Mr. James Carnegie. This force is
made up entirely of local children who have become pioneers for police
forces in other states.
 The State of Melaka established its own police force in 1827. These two forces
later merged to form the Straits Settlements Police Force. On 2 June 1896,
the Federated Malay States Police Force was established and Captain H.C
Syers was appointed as the Force Leader. At this time a central administration
was created. While the establishment of the Non-Unionized Malay States was
first established in the state of Johor in 1882, Kedah and Kelantan in 1909 and
Terengganu in 1914. The Sarawak Police Force in 1862 and Sabah in 1882.
SUMMARY OF INDUSTRIAL TRAINING
ACTIVITIES
 3.1 DAILY TASK

The task i do daily during my practical training here. Doing typeracer test improve my
typing skill day by day and be more efficiently when typing.

 3.2 PROJECT

During my practice in the PDRM organization I have created a mobile app

related to security. My purpose in creating these mobile apps is to improve the policing
system with today's increasingly sophisticated technology so that people can make
complaints as quickly as possible and wherever they are.
LIMITATIONS

 Lack of Staffs
In every organization will have their own problems. Throughout my training here, there is
not enough staffs so our workflow will become slow and not punctual within the deadline.
 Multitasking Work
Doing multitask work may require a lot of experience and a lot of hardwork to meet the
requirement, and as for this organization it lacks of staff and theres only three people
and even though we divide the task the work will take some time to be done. In this case
the work will take more time than it is required to be submitted.

 Staff Sensitivity to Technology

With suggestions for improvement such as mobile apps can improve the quality of police
performance in providing awareness to the public.
RECOMMENDATIONS

 Participating in practicum training is a valuable lesson for students on how to

adapt with the knowledge they learnt from the university lecturers into the
real world. On both sides, the students or the organization can gain benefits
for this program, because students can learn on how to be in a working
environment and be prepared for it. There is also benefit for the
organizations which they can recruit fresh graduated students to be part of
their organizations.
CONCLUSION

 Industrial training is an excellent platform for student to explore on working

environment and gain exposure to the industry. It also can be a platform to
train soft skills and enhance it, especially those who are lack of working
experience. The industrial training provides a chance for the undergraduates
to notice their own weaknesses and identify the skills and technique that are
essential in the working environment, such as good communication skills and
learn the etiquette in working space.
