THEORETICAL STATEMENT OF
FRAMEWORK THE PROBLEM
RATIONALE
• Traffic rules and regulations were developed
and implemented by the government not for
the purpose of earning money from the people
but for the drivers to have a safe journey while
travelling. Having an awareness about it, on
the other hand, is one of the key factors that
could regulate traffic flow as well as prevent
traffic accidents.
• R.A. 4136 also known as the Land Transportation
and Traffic Code (LTO)
• Tailgating, over speeding, overtaking, drunk Problem scenario
driving, distracted driving, use of mobile phone,
over loading, etc..

Observation

• The World Health Organization (WHO) recently reported on December 13,

2023 that approximately 1.19 million individuals lost their lives in traffic
accidents in 2023 and according to their statistics, 12,000 Filipinos are said to
die on the roads each year.
• The findings of the study on the causes of traffic accidents
indicated that people are the primary contributing factors in
traffic accidents, and drivers, as vehicle operators, are
among the primary contributors.

• Reducing the issue of vehicle accidents is largely dependent on the

attitude, knowledge, and compliance of drivers with traffic laws (Miguel,
et.al, (2014) and Pungtilan, et.al. (2013).
