Introduction of Scalar and Vector
Scalar
● A scalar is a quantity that has only magnitude, meaning it is described by
a numerical value and a unit but lacks direction. Examples of scalars
include mass, temperature, time, and speed. Scalars can be added,
subtracted, multiplied, or divided just like ordinary numbers.

Vector
● A vector is a quantity that has both magnitude and direction. Vectors are
represented by arrows, where the length of the arrow corresponds to the
magnitude, and the direction indicates the orientation. Common examples
of vectors include displacement, velocity, force, and acceleration. Vectors
follow specific rules for addition and subtraction, considering both their
magnitudes and the angles between them.

Question 2: Calculate the area of parallelogram and the area for triangle of
with vertices

To find the area of parallelogram, Area of triangle is half of

we need to find the magnitude of parallelogram , we need to use
magnitude of

|⃗ 𝑆𝑈|=√(−4) +(−30) +(4)

𝑆𝑇 ×⃗

CONCLUSION

In conclusion, vectors and scalars are fundamental concepts in mathematics

and physics.Vectors have both magnitude and direction. Scalar have only
magnitude, without direction. At the end of this slide , we are able to solve
the question using the formula and same method in slide show. We hope
that this videos can help you to solve the question.
