Norms of the Course:

• Punctuality is a tradition in a Scout Training


Courses. If the Patrol is not complete, the Patrol
Leader will remain standing until every member
of the patrol is accounted for. If the Patrol
Leader is unaccounted, the Patrol members will
remain standing until he arrives or his absence
is duly acknowledge by the Senior Patrol
Leader, the ACL – Program or the Session-In-
Charge.

Norms of the Course:

•Course Standard – The standard ribbon will be awarded to


the group that meets the standard of the day. When all
groups have received the standard ribbon, the Course
Standard has been reached.

Norms of the Course:

Course Requirement:

Note-taking is a must.

Consider the following:

a. Keep notes neat and attractive


b. Write down the Session Title
as well as the name of the discussant.
c. Use a new page for every session
d. Use drawing and sketches for clarity

COURSE ROUTINE
3. Duty Patrols - Assigned on rotation & be given a duty tablets.

Program Patrol Service Patrol


Wake-up / Wash up / Exercise Cleanliness of the Session Hall
Facilitates Flag Raising Ceremony Arrange Tables & Chairs of the
Prepares/ Facilitates Campfire Session Hall
Facilitates Flag Lowering Ceremony Assist in putting out Training
Recap all topics discussed Aids of all discussants
Prepares programs on occasions Help set-up Sound System
Facilitates Songs & Games Cleanliness of the Mess Hall
Provide logistics support
to the program patrol

4. Rotation of Patrol Leaders – The PL is elected on the 1st day, then the
Role of the PL will be rotated to the other members every end of the
AM and or PM Training Sessions.

COURSE ROUTINE
5. PATROL FLAG

Each patrol will have to create their respective patrol flag, which
symbolizes your group, carry it w/ pride & dignity. Patrol Flags are
stackable that means you should not leave it unattended. Stolen and or
missing flags will have corresponding punishment. Only the members
of the Training Staff are authorized to stack any Patrol Flags.

6. Staff Area

The staff area is off limits to all the trainees. Counselors who are
member of the course staff should be the one going to their respective
Patrol Corner.

7. Training Time Table:

Wake-up/Wash-up/Breakfast - 0500H
Flag Ceremony - 0700H
Games - 0730H
Start AM Session - 0800H
Lunch Break - 1200H
Start PM Session - 1300H
Dinner Break - 1800H
Start Night Session - 1900H
TAPS - 2300H

8. Spare Time Activity

If the Course is NOT in SESSION, consider this as your Patrol’s Spare Time
Activity, which you need to spend wisely in doing Patrol Assignments /
Projects / Corners.

• Patrol Organization – Elect your respective Patrol
Leader, Asst. PL, Scribe, Treasurer, Quartermaster,
Grubmaster, Hike Leader & Cheer Leader

• Patrol Flag – Each Patrol must create their respective


Patrol Flags…Be Creative…

• Patrol Yell - Each Patrol must compose their own


unique Patrol Yell…Should be one of a kind…

• Patrol Song - Each Patrol must compose their own


unique Patrol Song…Must standout among the rest…

• Patrol Call - Each Patrol must sound their own unique

• Patrol Counselor – Each patrol will have their respective


counselors with whom they should ask question,
clarification and assistance whenever they have Project
Work Groups, Assignments & STAs.
