attention to the government as well
as give awareness to the public
about certain issues. Also, advocacy
means a public support for or
recommendation of a particular
cause or policy and that is according
to Oxford Languages Dictionary.
An advocate is one who promotes an advocacy. Since advocacy
aims to promote awareness, build ties and relationships and create
a change or action, the advocate needs to speak of, assert, defend,
contend or campaign about issues that may lead to reforms,
changes or advances of laws, actions and policies. An advocate may
choose to talk and appeal for reforms, changes or advances in the
fields of:
1. Health
2. Education
3. Environment or Nature
4. Politics and Governance
5. Religions and Norms
6. Human Rights (Men, Women and Children’s Rights)
7. Animal Rights and Welfare
8. Love, Peace, and Equality

Research, advocacy and campaign aim to give awareness to the public
and thus call attention to every person who reaches the information as
well as give us solutions to the problems or issues raised.

The difference between research and advocacy is when it is about their


objectives, research’s objective is to collect and present facts, evidence,
and data analysis to provide objective information, while advocacy’s
objective is, it seeks to persuade and mobilize others to take action or
support a particular viewpoint or policy change
