Safety and Course Requirements

Parking:
Parking at Lion House: Care should be taken when
parking at Lion House There are a limited number of
Parking Spaces available.

Parking at Burns Building: Parking should be in the


EXPRO Car Park at the rear of the building.
Dress code:
Students should wear sensible dress while attending
courses. Flip flops and shorts are not permitted.

Coffee Breaks:
Coffee is available all day from the kitchen just along from
the classroom. Students are asked to clear up any used
coffee cups by the end of the day.
Lunch:
Lunch will be taken in the outer room of the training facility,
it will be for 30 mins or at the instructors discretion. After
lunch students are requested to leave the area clean and
tidy.

Smoking:
EXPRO has a no smoking policy within and next to
the buildings.
Smoking is only permitted in designated areas. There is a
smoking area outside of the Training Building. (PLEASE
USE IT)

Lockers:
Lockers are provided for each student during the course.
All PPE should be stored in these lockers during class
activities. Students are responsible, for keeping the lockers
clean and tidy.
PPE:
Students should have with them full PPE:
Hard Hat
Coveralls
Safety Glasses
Safety Boots
Gloves
Should they not have any of the following, the instructor should be informed at
the beginning of the course.

Working Outside on the Equipment:


PPE, must be worn at all times, with no exceptions.
The site is classed as a Well Site and Safety, Operational
and Environmental awareness is paramount.
• All Equipment must be rigged up and laid out neatly.
• All oil or diesel spillages must be mopped up
immediately.
• Oil Spill granules, cleaning fluids are there to be used.
• After rigging down the unit the work bench and tools
must be cleaned and returned to their correct storage
place and left as you would expect to find it.

Course Rules:
1. Safety is paramount. Wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE)
when working outside, in the workshop or wellhead areas.
2. Report all accidents/incidents to the instructor, no matter how trivial they
may seem, and seek medical aid if required. If any accident is not reported
actions cannot be made to prevent similar occurrences.
3. No alcohol – either to be consumed in the training centre or any student
under the influence of.
4. PPE and dirty clothes/shoes will not be worn inside the building i.e. class-
room, reception area, office etc. (clean areas).
5. Good housekeeping is required, everywhere including lockers and toilets.
6. You are expected to be in class for 9 a.m. each day and you will have coffee
and lunch breaks at a set time. Your course instructor will advise you of
these times.
7. EXPRO operate a No Smoking policy within the training centre, but there is
a designated smoking area for delegates.
