Introduction
Quality assurance is used to carry out quality
management and is a method to help make sure
certain quality standards are fulfilled. Quality
assurance can be particularly important to ensure
that a school develops and performs in line with the
curriculum and standards in place.

Why is quality assurance

important in quality management?
Quality assurance involves the systematic review of
educational programs and processes to maintain and improve
their quality, equity and efficiency. While the design of quality
assurance mechanisms (tools, processes and actors) varies
across national contexts, their common objective is to
improve teaching and learning – with the ultimate goal to
support the best outcomes for learners.

“One DepED, One National QMS” aims to integrate DepED’s internal

processes to ensure consistency in the delivery of quality services
and continuous process improvement that will result to client
satisfaction. The advantages of One National QMS include: (1)
alignment of processes from schools to SDOs to regions to Central
Office; (2) cohesiveness; (3) same QMS equals same Quality
Standards; (4) Continuous improvement of services for our
stakeholders; (5) clarity in functions and processes; (6) cost-efficient
for DepED; (7) all locations certified under same scope and one (1)
third party certifying body; and, (8) entire Agency eligibility for PBB.

This policy aims to do the following:
2.1 Quality assures the school management of 100% of the schools in the division thru the
quality management teams
2.2 Transparency in the operations should be practiced by 100% of the schools in the
division
2.3 At the end of the school year,100% of the supporting documents for the IPCRF/
OPRCF/ SBM is already on hand and in tack in the school.
2.4 100% of the schools in the Schools Division of Nueva Ecija will be ready for SBM Level II
2.5 100% of the needed technical assistance will be given to schools.
2.6 100% of the schools will be transparent on the use of their resources.
2.7 Ensure the equitable distribution and usage of 100% of the school's resources
