INTRODUTION
In cars the hand brake is a latching brake usually used to
keep the car stationary. automobiles e-brakes usually
consist of a cable.
directly connected to a brake mechanism on one end and
to some type of mechanism that can be actuated by the
driver on the other end.
the mechanisms is often a hand –operated lever, on the
floor on either side of the driver, a pull handle located
below and near.
REPRESENTATION
WORKING PRINCIPLE
The compressed air from the compressor is used as a medium
for this operation. Pneumatic double acting cylinder is used.
The air from the compressor enters to the flow control valve.
The other way of air enters to the solenoid valve. The function
of Solenoid valve is to allow air at correct time interval. The air
passes to outlet through the exhaust valve cylinder due to
pressure difference in the compressor by means of pneumatic
head into the piston by longitudinal unit used. The aim is to
design and develop a control system based on intelligent
electronically controlled automotive braking system is called
automatic braking system.
ADVANTAGES
Quick operation.
Accuracy is more.
It Reduce the manual effort.
DISADVANTAGES
Cylinder stroke length is constant
Need a separate compressor
Maintenance of the equipment components such as hoses,
valves has to done periodically.
APLICATIONS
It is applicable in four and heavy vehicle.
It can be developed to operate these brakes remotely using a
remote key or a Smartphone.
This system can be useful in driverless cars.
CONCLUSION
• The braking system is designed to decrease the speed
of a vehicle using kinetic friction and keep it from
rolling when stopped using static friction.
• Friction is the force that resists motion between two
touching objects.
