FABRICATION OF AUTOMATIC CAR PARKING

SYSTEM
SYNOPSIS;

To increase the productivity and to overcome skilled labour shortage, most of


the manufacturing industries are going for automation The main aim for us to
select this project work is to acquire practical knowledge in the field of automation
using electrical control system..
We

PNEUMATIC

CONTROLLED CAR PARKING SYSTEM as our project work and we have


used principles of Mechatronics in developing this project work.. In this project
the vehicles are placed on a platform and transported from one line in the ground
floor to the some other line .
Here the vehicles are arrived at the platform and stopped. This vehicle is
lifted using a Pneumatic cylinder which is controlled by single solenoid operated
5/2 way DC valve which is actuated through the control system . Both the vehicle
and air cylinder are carried by the belt conveyor mechanism in order to transport
the vehicle from one place to another line.
The operating pressure required for this system is 5 to 6 bar.The
maintenance required for this system is less than the other systems. .

There are three magnetic reed sensors placed in the conveyor line for the
purpose of stopping the platform. Thevehicles are transmitted from one line to
another line by pressing the selector switch in the keyboard..

6. Valve Connector (5Nos. x 40.00)
7. Plastic tube (5 metres) 25/metre
8. CONTROLLER board

The Pneumatic arm is more efficient in the technical field
Quick response is achived
Simple in constructions
Easy to maintain and repair
Cost of the unit is less when compared to other robotics
No fire hazard problem due to over loading
