Information
Text Information and Media Text information can be
written in script using the Roman Alphabet or different
Script that is appropriate to the language of the reader.

Creator of Text Information


1.Author – pertains to a writer whose work has already
been published.
2. Writer – a person who is more associated with writing
literary.
3. Contributor – articles written by contributors only run
depending on the theme and or space available.
4. Columnist – someone who writes his opinion, insights
and commentaries about political and social issues.
5. Blogger – writes personal opinions about issues or
topics that interest him.
6. Data Encoder – a person who is in charge of encoding
the handwritten text into soft copy.
7. Layout and Graphic Artist - work with other team
members to create a layout that will be used for a client.
They must have good communication skills as they
participate in meetings and work closely with other
graphic designers to create a quality product.
8. Editor - a person who is in charge of and
determines the final content of a text,
particularly a newspaper or magazine.
9. Publisher – Responsible for preparing,
acquiring, and managing a publication.
How Text Information is Produce?
1.The Writer chooses a topic that he would like to
write about.
2. The Writer gathers information about the topic.
3. The Writer makes an outline of the topic and
writes the draft
4. The Writer reviews the draft and develops it into
a full text.
5. The Writer submits the article to the
editor/publisher.
Classification of Text Information
• Fiction – Text information can be classified as fiction if it pertains to
stories that are imagined or not true.
• Nonfiction – Text information is classified as nonfiction if it is based on
facts and reality.

Visual Information and Media Visual - is the artistic or creative representation or
interpretation of an idea, concept, or emotion using different media. It is created
by Painter, Photographers, Graphic Artists or Designers and Sculptors among them.

Making Visual Information


1. Painter – refers to a person who produce a work of art with colors, lines, and
shapes using paint as a medium.
2. Photographer – the primary job of photographer is taking pictures or images
using a camera.
3. Graphic Artist or Designer – a person who sets the images, illustrations, charts,
and tables on the manuscript. He is also responsible for the artwork and design
using electronic media.
4. Sculptor – a person who creates a piece of art using a variety of media, such as
clay, marble, wood or even ice.
Types of Visual Information
1. Painting – Is an artform that creates pictures using a flat medium, such
as canvas or board and paint.
2. Photo/Image – A photo is worth a thousand words. It can tell a story
or even let the viewer feel emotions by just looking at it.
3. Sculpture – Is an example of a three-dimensional artwork that can be
made using clay, stone, metal or other materials and it shows replica of
the model.
4. Graphs and Charts – Pertains to a diagram, which is a series of one or
more points, lines, line segments, curve, or areas. It shows variables with
corresponding interpretation.
5. Billboard and Poster – It refers to a large outdoor board containing
text information and image designs posted as a form of advertisement. A
Poster is similar to billboard but is much smaller

• The book has to be updated regularly for accuracy and
timeliness.
• Text information can be lengthy and hard or tiresome to read.
• Finding information can be mean browsing over several
materials, which can be time consuming.
Visual Information and Media Advantage of Visual Information

• It catches the attention of the audience because of its artistic


presentation
• It teaches the audience to be more analytical in order to
visually process the message.
• It allows the artist to present the information and express the
message in a creative manner. Limitation of Visual Information
• It can be distracting.
• Its meaning could be interpreted differently because of its
artistic presentation.
• It takes time and effort to produce visual information.
