OBJECTIVES:

• Identify the different types of visual content.


• Describe the purposes of visual media and information.
WHAT DOES VISUAL INFORMATION
CONSIST OF?
• In general, visual information includes things that we see such as
photography, graphic arts, models, displays, motion pictures, video
recording, and the links.

• We base our visualization on how we see the image through our


eyes. To process visual information, we use our eyes to analyze an
image or an object that we see.

are the materials, programs, applications and the like
that teachers and student use to formulate new
information to aid learning through the use, analysis,
evaluation and production of visual images.

VISUAL INFORMATION
Visual information is the artistic or creative
representation or interpretation of an idea, concept, or
emotion using different media. It is created by painters,
photographers, graphic artists or designers, and
sculptors among others
VISUAL INFORMATION
• Painter - refers to the person who produces a work of art with colors, lines and
shapes using paint ass a medium.
• Photographer - a person who takes photographs, especially as a job. A photographer
can be classified as an amateur or professional.
• Graphic Artist or Designer - Graphic design is also known as communication
design. Graphic designers are visual communicators, who create visual concepts by
hand or by using computer software. They communicate ideas to inspire, inform, or
captivate consumers through both physical and virtual art forms that include images,
words, or graphics.
• Sculptor – Creates a piece of art using a variety of media, such as clay, marble, wood
or even ice

1. Painting
• Is an art form that creates pictures
using a flat mediums, such as canvass
or board, and paint.
• Landscape, Portrait, Still Life, Icon

2. Photo/Images
Personal photo, Family Photo,
Photojournalism, Yearbook or
Graduation Photo, Landscape Photo,
Nature and Wild Life Photo Fashion
or Beauty Photo, Wedding Photo, and

3. Sculpture
It is an example of the three-
dimensional artwork that can
be made using clay, stone,
metal or other materials. A
sculpture shows a replica of the
subject or model.

4. Cartoon or Comic Strip


Shows illustrationsor drawings arranged sequentially
in boxes.

5. Graphs and Charts

• Pertains to a diagram, which


is a series of one or more
points, lines line segments,
curves, or areas.

6. Billboard and Poster

• Billboard refers to a large


outdoor board containing text
information and images posted
as a form of advertisement.
Poster is similar to a billboard
but is much smaller.
HOW TO MAKE INFOGRAPHICS?
Infographics is an infographic is a collection of imagery,
data visualizations like pie charts and bar graphs, and
minimal text that gives an easy-to- understand overview of
a topic

• Outline the goals of your infographic.


• Collect data for your Infographic.
• Visualize the data for your infographic.
• Lay out your Infographic.
• Add Style in your Infographic Design.
TYPES OF INFOGRAPHICS

1. Mixed charts – it includes a variety of different charts to show data.


2. Informational list – is mostly test that list information about a given
subject.
3. Timeline – it looks at how a subject has changed over time
4. How – to guide – is a step-by-step guide in creating something.
5. Flowchart – starts a single point and looks at the points that branch off
based on different decisions.

6. Comparison – compares and contrast two different subjects.


7. Location – based – infographic uses a map to visualize geographical
data.
8. Photo graphic – uses mostly photographs, combined with text, to explain
a point.
9. Hierarchal – infographic stacks items or subjects based on the predefined
‘ level’
10. Single chart – is a chart (such as bar or line graph) that visualizes data on
subject.

11. Visualize numbers – adds images to statistics to make them more


appealing.
12. Anatomical – anatomical infographic brakes down what makes
something ‘ work’.
13. Visual resume – is a resume in infographic form.
