DEFINITION OF TERMS
• MEASUREMENT
• The numerical quantification of the attributes of an object or event,
which can be used to compare with other objects or events.
TIME MEASUREMENT
• Seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, and years are all
measures of time.
TIME CONVERSION
SPEED MEASUREMENT
• DISTANCE
• The length measured between two points or the length of space traveled by a moving object. Usually denoted by d. The most common unit to measure distance is a kilometer or meter.
• TIME
• Is the measured or measurable period during which a condition, process, or action occurs. Usually expressed in hours ( h) or minutes (m).
• SPEED
• How fast an object or person travels. Usually expressed in kilometer/s per hour (kph).
