Double comparative structures
There are two ways of building a double comparative structure:
1. Gradual increase
Example:
Centennials are more and more interested in social
causes on the Internet.

2. Parallel increase
Example:
The lazier the Millennials become, the more spoilt they are labelled.
Gradual increase
Used to express the idea that things are continuously changing.
Example:
Centennials are more and more interested in technology.
I am getting better and better at computing.

Structure:
Adjective in the comparative form + and + adjective in the comparative form

Note:
When the adjective is long we add more and more + adjective.
When the adjective is short we add -er to the adjective and repeat the
adjective + -er after and.
Fill in the gaps with a gradual increase structure.
more and more different (different)
1.The Centennials’ education is becoming _________________________

Parallel increase
Used to express the idea that things change or vary together (one depends on the
other).
Example:
The more free time she has, the happier she feels.
The more tired your brain is, the harder it is for you to concentrate.
Structure:
The + adjective in the comparative form, + the + adjective in the comparative
form

Note:
When the adjective is long we add more + adjective.
When the adjective is short we add -er to the adjective.
