Learning Outcomes After completing the subject, students should be able to:

1. Categorize the different types of advanced manufacturing processes


2. Explain the basic principle of various advanced manufacturing processes
3. Give example of different manufacturing processes suitability and
advantages.

Synopsis Discuss on various advanced manufacturing processes such as mechanical


processes, thermal processes, chemical processes and electrochemical
processes, rapid prototyping etc.
