Core Yogas

are particularly noted to indicate a fall from position. All these yogas have one other important similarity; they all make it difficult for the native to move forward with purpose and meaning. The first two versions of this yoga involving the 9th lord or 9th house rob the native of the feeling of purpose that gives direction to life, or they find it impossible to activate what is purposeful to them. The 3rd version, dependent upon the 12th lord, gives fluctuating indecision or losses that make it difficult for the native to move forward with any purpose, even if they have any. Daridra deprived Yoga: All the planets from the Sun to Saturn placed in continuous houses in such a manner that the planet next in natural order is in the preceding house. One suffers extreme penury and destitution. This yoga requires the Moon to be in the 12th from the Sun, Mars in the 12th from the Moon, Mercury in the 12th form Mars, Jupiter in the 12th from Mercury, Venus in the 12th from Jupiter, and Saturn in the 12th from Venus. This yoga is not possible in its entirety as Mercury cannot be in the 10th from the Sun, nor can Venus be in the 8th from the Sun, which this yoga would require. The concept, however, is valid. Whenever a planet is in the 12th from a planet that it follows in the natural order of Sun-Saturn it is a blemish to the horoscope. The more of these there are the greater the blemish. The dasas and antardasas of these planets prove to give losses and difficulties. Dur difficult Yoga: A malefic in the 10th and the 10th lord in a dusthana. One will not derive the fruits from his own bodily exertions and is looked down upon by others. Highly selfish and intent upon deceiving others, one will also live in a foreign place.
