Who was Becky Most? Becky Most was a beloved corps member at Maggies Place who was dedicated to encouraging moms to pursue their educational and employment dreams. As a graduate of Purdue University, Becky was on her way back to her alma mater to pursue an advanced degree when she was killed in an automobile accident. As a tribute to her memory, Maggies Place established the Becky Most Scholarship Fund as a way to financially help mothers reach their educational goals. What is the Becky Most Scholarship? A competitive scholarship option offered to help Maggies Place mothers currently enrolled in school with tuition costs. What are the qualifications? 1. Be enrolled and attending an accredited academic institution (level of education does not matter) 2. Be a Maggies Place current or alumnae mom 3. Demonstrate a commitment to continuing your education If awarded, what can I use the scholarship money for? The scholarship is applied exclusively to your tuition. Maggies Place will award the scholarship money directly to the school youre attending. How do I apply? 1. Fill out the online application at http://www.maggiesplace.org/becky-most-scholarship/ 2. Participate in a phone interview If Ive applied before, can I apply again? Yes! If Ive received a Maggies Place scholarship, can I apply for this? Yes! Spring Semester 2014 Application Timeline January 13, 2014: Application available online March 2, 2014: Application due date (by 11:59 pm) March 24-28, 2014: Applicant phone interviews Applicants may choose to submit a draft of their application before Sunday, February 16 to Teresa at alumnaemoms@maggiesplace.org to receive feedback about their application. Be sure to include a current phone number, so Teresa can call you to talk about your application. Submitting a draft is OPTIONAL, and not a required part of the application timeline. Questions?
