The main image shows the main character looking down at the city of New York which you

can see in the reflection of the eyes; this shows that the hero in the movie feels like he has the duty to save the city from trouble. The dark night sky connotes danger which creates a tense feeling within the poster. The spider webs which surround the hero show his similarities to the spider, hence the name Spider-Man.

The Marvel Comics logo is put subtly in the bottom right corner of the poster. This is possibly due to not wanting anything in the way of the main image of the poster. This also could be because Spider-Man is an immensely popular superhero, which people will already recognise Spiderman is a Marvel hero.
