This study examined the relationship between female adolescents' attitudes and their mothers' roles in facing menarche. The study used a correlational design with a sample of 43 7th grade female students. The results showed that 41.86% of adolescents received good support from their mothers, while 9.30% did not. Additionally, 60.50% of adolescents had a favorable attitude towards menarche, while 39.5% had an unfavorable attitude. Statistical analysis revealed a significant relationship between maternal support and adolescent attitude. The study recommends future research with a larger population and additional data collection methods like observation and interviews.

First menstrual period (menarche) is the most important event in young women as a sign of fertility has been started. Normally menstruation occurs at the age of 11-16 years. At the first menstruation, it appears various fantasy description coupled with anxiety and fear which are not real, those are associated with bleeding problems. So that menarche is a traumatic experience for female adolescents. The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between female adolescents attitude and mother role in facing menarche. This study used correlational design with cross sectional approach. The population in this study was 94 respondents, samples were 43 respondents by using purposive sampling technique. The data analysis used Spearman Rank test. The results obtained from the data were 18 respondents (41.86%) got good enough mothers role and 4 respondents (9.30%) did not get good mothers role. While for the female adolescents attitude of 26 respondents (60.50%) had favorable attitude and 17 respondents (39.5%) were unvaforeble. The data analysis by using Spearman Rank test showed correlation coefficient ( value) (0.001)<(0.05) meaning that there is relationship between female adolescents attitude and mother role in facing menarche at Class VII of SMPN 1 Dau Malang. Suggestions that can be recommended for further research of this study are it is expected to enhance this study with a larger population and with addition of research instrument measurement method in forms of observation and direct interviews with mothers and adolescents.
