November 2014
Classroom Update

November is going to be a busy month for our

class with assemblies, guest speakers and lots
of learning! We are working on becoming
published authors and are finishing up our
stories to share with Mrs. Fox when she
returns mid November.
We have been talking about the importance of
Remembrance Day and students are
encouraged to share what they have learned
with their families. Our school assembly will
be on November 11th. The grade 2s have
prepared a video during social students about
why remembrance day is important that will
be shown.

Language Arts Learning Goals

We are retelling important
events that happened in a
story in the proper order.
We are identifying the main
idea of a story.
We are writing using a
variety of sentences and
using proper punctuation.
We are proofreading our
writing and identifying
corrections.
We are making personal
connections to stories that
we read.
