What We Are Learning in Room 202!

Reading We have continued to practice reading long vowel words. We
also learned about the possessive and apostrophes. Students are also
becoming great at looking at the characteristics of poetry and how to read
a poem fluently.
Math We wrapped up Chapter 3 this week. Chapter 4 has begun with
each student receiving a number line to use throughout the chapter. We
will look at several subtraction strategies, as well as looking at word
problems for important information.
Religion- We have been studying the Advent Wreath and have had two
Advent prayer services with the 2nd floor. We have our Stocking for
Jesus up and students are so excited to fill it with their good deeds!
Writing- We began opinion writing this week. Students learned that their
opinions and others are not meant to be right or wrong. They began to
work on having reasons to back up their opinions.
