Ms. Scahills 1 st Grade News!

This week in 202!
Students have done a wonderful job completing the first 2 units of Superkids this week. Student workbooks were sent home this week. Make sure to review the word patterns and memory words the students have learned throughout these units! Students will also be coming home with their lima bean plants this weekend. Many have already begun to sprout!

Student of the Week

Marizabel made a great poster that helped all of the students learn more about her. Kids were super excited to hear all about her adventures at home with Frankie. Next weeks Student of the Week is Kenny!

Next Week in 202!

We will be starting Unit 3 of Superkids! This means new books and games are now available on the Parent Portal! Our focus will be on words ending in ng and le. In addition, students will be bringing home an enrichment packet for math, which you can use to further their understanding of concepts in Chapter 2 (it is NOT mandatory!). As cool weather arrives, students will be bringing sweatshirts and coats. Because we share a coatroom with another class, please make sure all tags are labeled with your students initials or name to ensure everyone keeps track of their things!
