CLASS NEWS
MORE SNOW! This has been the craziest winter weather we have
had in a long time. We are trying to maintain our schedule and
routines here at school. Thank you for being flexible and keeping up
with all the work at home! Brace yourself, it looks like more snow is
coming our way!
100th Day and Valentines Day were a huge success! The students
had so much fun and enjoyed all the activities. We made a booklet
with 100 things in it, we shared our 100 collections from home and
we drew a snowman with 100 dots.

MATH

READING & WRITING

In math we have finished up unit 8,

Double Digit Addition. We reviewed all
the skills in this unit and took the unit
test.
We are working on our subtraction
facts. This week we are subtracting
parts of 10. Ex. 10-5, 10-7, 10-9 etc.

No School!

In reading groups we have had a very

short week. We have been working on
long and short u and ai, ay rules. We
have been sorting, alphabetizing and
making sentences with these words.
In writing, we have been concentrating
on writing full sentences. We are now
transferring this to all subjects. Every
question must be answered with a full
sentence, even in math!

Science & Social Studies

We have finished up our study of magnets. We
reviewed all we learned, watched a video and
took the end of unit test. This has to be our
favorite science unit this year!
