Grade 3 / 4 Newsletter

HAPPY SPRING!!!
We are learning about:
Math- Fractions, Decimals, Time, Temperature
Science- Structures, pulleys and gears
Social Studies- History of Ontario communities
(grade 3) and Early Societies (grade 4). Ask your
child about their slideshow project comparing then
and now for a variety of daily life topics.
Language - Persuasive Writing and Poetry
Religious studies - the Easter story, the theological
virtue of faith

Important Dates
April 3-Good Friday (no school)
April 6-Easter Monday (no
school)
Tues., April 7th-Wolfe Island
Tues., April 14 and 28- Swim
trip in the afternoon (please
return permission form the week
after Easter). It is only $5 total for
1 swim test visit and 4 swim
visits. We will be walking.
April 16-Mass at 9:30 a.m.

Field Trip Reminder

On Tuesday, we will be going to the


Ryan Outdoor Education Centre on
Wolfe Island again. The students
and I will meet by the portable fence
to board our bus. We will start
boarding our bus at 8:45 and the
bus will leave promptly at 8:55am
(at the bell) to catch the ferry.
Students do not need to arrive early.
Dress according to weather
conditions as we will be doing
outdoor education, and you may
wish to pack extra snacks or drinks.
It will be a great day!
