Dear 1CV Parents,

As our home connection for the Unit of Inquiry titled How We

Express Ourselves, we will be writing class books. Each night,
one student will bring the book home and extend upon the
imagination of others by writing one page to add to the book.
When your child brings the book home, please help him/her read
the previous pages in the book, then write and illustrate the next
page. The next page should be a continuation of the pages
before so the final product is one cohesive book.
We will have two separate groups, each writing a book with the
same title. When both books are returned, we will compare and
contrast the books to see how our different perspectives and
imaginations changed what happened in the story!
Below is a schedule of when each child will bring home the book
so you can be prepared to work on it that night and return it the
following day. Please make sure the book is returned the next day
to ensure that we can stay on schedule.
