This is such a great initiative. So good to see people
like Peter taking safety into his own hands as well
as for his work mates. Safety is such an important
part of ensuring we all go home at the end of the
day, well done Peter!

Do you want to make 2016 the start
of a healthier you?
Our Health & Safety Team hosted two promotional days
recently, Friday 15th January and yesterday, Thursday
21st January.
These were held outside the Development & Wellness
Centre with the aim of capturing people as they were
coming into and out of work. Free breakfast and coffee
was supplied much to our delight. It was a great vibe as
you entered the gate, fun music blaring as the Health
team greeted us in fancy wigs!
The Health Team were busy promoting information to
everyone here at Tomago about services available to
help live a healthy lifestyle.
This included:

Cycling information

Caretrac Family Fitness Network

TAC Health & Wellbeing Activities for 2016

Information on FREE Physio Services

Information on FREE Dietician Services

There has been a great response so far for the completion of the Health Surveys. And remember...a winner
will be drawn to receive a $200 Rebel Sport voucher, so
please get these back to Health Services as soon as
possible.
This information collected from the surveys will go towards targeting our health activities onsite this year and
next year by way of
providing services
and initiatives with
what the workforce
wants!

Leigh Anne Ruch, Steve Macnamara, Anthony

Cook and Simon Treyvaud.
They have done a great job and we are looking forward
to a year of fun and healthy activities, supported by
Tomago.

A big thanks to all

$ Money Banked on New & Better Disposable Masks $

THEN

Last year the Paste Plant spent $11,700 on P2 masks. This mask was perceived as convenient,
however does not provide the best seal for protection against dust and vapours. Generally these
masks are a use once only solution as it becomes worn and bent, increasing the risk of bypass.
As of the 18th December 2015, the Paste Plant Operations Team have been disposable mask free.
The P2 disposable has been replaced with a minimum level of the half face 3M respirator,. After respirator maintenance costs were taken into account (filter replacements etc) a $9500 saving will
be realised from this implementation! Additionally we have now further lowered the risk of a respiratory event within the Paste Plant. This is great Blue Bus Culture, we are really pushing forward with
some great initiatives and savings. Well done Paste Plant Teams.
